DOCKERY DAWGS

Below are comments and observations on the Norwegian homeboys' first CD. ...from the denizens of the Tweedboard.

Listen and enjoy. "beautiful plumage" is what we've got here! H.C.

Very darn good stuff! Between John Reitan's excellent picking and sliding and Big Bacon's impossibly deep gravel pit voice these two guys got it all covered. Good Stuff from Norway. Tweed

"Retribution Blues" is a powerhouse! Mean and evil. Odin is coming for you baby! Ain't nothin' you can do. The dark fates surround you! Dark water rising. Rolfy

...on my third listenin' right now and loving everything. So far "Future Blues", "You Gotta Move" and "John the Revelator" are battling out for my favorite, but their ain't a dog (no pun intended) on the CD. Congrats on a GREAT CD, Johnnie. Bobert

My copy of "Moan" came today, and what an original and enjoyable album it is.
I have no doubt we all will be able to say we knew John "way back when" because this Duo has to hit the big time. what I really like about this CD is its' really clean sound and has an "intimate" style to it, as if These guys are playing right here in my living room. The title track "Moan" has this wonderful primal quality to it, and "Crow Stomp" Blues is a great original. The BluesLady

And That's our review and we're stickin' to it! Visit the Dawgs website for more info and mebbe even order your own copy. Tweedfolks never lie about music;~)
