 Deep Blues Festival artwork

Several artists have donated work for the festival logos and posters.

Years ago, I saw a piece done by a Black Keys fan, Justin Degarmo.

It was already sold, so I asked him to do something for me. This is what we worked out.

His website is at

When I was doing the first fest, I hired him again to create our logo. We went through a few edits.

For 2008, I worked with a local poster artist, Miss Amy Jo, and she came up with this design.

For 2009, I asked Keith Neltner of Neltner Creative to make our poster.

This was just theft, but for our volunteer appreciation party (which grew from 3 bands to 10) I modified this artwork. My neighborhood is Jacobson's Woods. With the anniversary, it seemed right.

Our final event had a film that featured a German artist, Christoph Mueller. He flew over for the screening and did the design for our poster.

The film was Can't Take It With You When You Die.

Wow--what a resource! Thanks a bunch, Chris. I hope I can afford some of these folks, as we are in dire need of promo posters. I get tired of seeing the plain old photo with blank spot for venue/date.

I'll say it again--there's no doubt in my mind that you'll be back in this in some fashion...
